Graw has an extensive, hands on experience in developing laser measurement systems for rails. The systems developed for Huta Katowice, Huta Królewska or Inexa steel plants have made complete rail body, overlap, and ends geometry control possible according to Euronorm.
Graw has experience in developing rails measurement systems, also those operating with gag press for rail straightness repairs. Accurate measurement of the rails, including the rail ends and possibility of integrating repair operations with measurements inreases rail production capacity and quality.
Project team consisting of Customer's staff and GRAW engineers carries out Factory Acceptance Test in Manufacturer's premises. The fully functional and checked system is shipped to the Customer. Entire system is assembled on a single mounting frame which is placed inside production line on site on the foundation prepared in advance. This approach guarantees effective deployment and cuts the installation time short.
All systems are developed completely in-house, software platforms include MS Windows 98, MS Windows 2000, MS Windows ME, QNX, and AS/400 with complete integration with the local enterprise network. All measurement systems may be developed with their dedicated database systems for storing readings, these are made in Access 97, Access 2000, Oracle, or can be built into the mesurement systems.
