Portable wheel profile gauge; acquired profiles may be automatically evaluated by the custom PC software provided and compared with the theoretical ones or those measured previously.

The relevant software makes it possible to compare the measured profile with the theoretical profile, comparing several profiles measured at different times, dimensioning of the drawings and annotating them. The gauge may be used for planning the machining operations on the ground wheel-lathes, for checking the correctness of the entire profile made, for registering the developing wear in time both for the maintenance needs and for the research projects.
