GRAW offers measurement systems for track and rolling stock. The instruments and systems are in use by the railway, light rail, and trams since 1992. Currently we will show our newest instruments at Metro 2006 in Guangzhou (China), and later this year at Innotrans 2006 in Berlin (Germany). Database and data processing systems are also available for diagnostic analyses of the inspected items.
GRAW developed the computer-based system for the self-propelled geometry cars for measurement of track in motion with speeds up to 120 km/h. The measurement results are archived and processed by the stationary system developed by GRAW as a supplement for the measurement systems of the geometry cars.
GRAW developed track inspection instruments and software systems as the measurement tools providing the additional information supplementing the measurements made with the geometry cars and for planning and commissioning of the jobs made in the track. The format of the measurement results obtained from these gauges is compatible with the format of the measurements made with the track recording cars. Therefore, the results of these measurements may be analysed by the relevant expert systems used by the railways.
GRAW developed and manufactures wheel profile gauges and electronic verniers for the manual measurements of the wheel rims geometry of the rolling stock. Also these devices are supplied with specialised software for collecting and processing the measurement results, also for central processing for enterprises consisting of many separate departments. Processing of data from such centralised data base brings the significant savings in maintenance and repairs of the rolling stock.
GRAW continuously follows all important events and advances in railway technology.
